DESCRIPTION:On March 28\, guest presenter\, Justin L. Brown\, will lead an interactive presentation on how to identify discriminatory practices in the workplace and start conversations around equality and inclusion. \nTopics are presented in interactive scenarios\, with realistic video scenarios\, knowledge checks\, and other assessments that prompt learners to think about their own assumptions\, behaviors\, and experiences. \nThis program will ask questions of:\nHow do we host a conversation such as this?\nWho needs to be in the room?\nWhat happens if something goes wrong?\nAll of this and more are explored in this training! \nAs we become aware of implicit biases and shed light on discriminatory practices\, we have the opportunity (and responsibility) to become participants in the conversation around equality and inclusion. \nContact Monica Wilson at monica.wilson@easternwv.edu by March 14 to attend in person.
