This highly anticipated event is being held at a new exciting location this year\, Mountain View Barn at Miller Farms\, celebrating the rich agricultural heritage of the Potomac Highland region. \nThe Farm-to-Table Dinner features a delectable menu crafted from locally sourced meat and produce\, highlighting the finest offerings from surrounding farms. Guests will indulge in a true farm-to-table experience\, enjoying fresh\, seasonal ingredients that showcase the bounty of our region. \nThe Farm-to-Table Dinner has quickly become a cornerstone event for the Eastern WV Community and Technical College Foundation. In its inaugural year\, the dinner raised over $10\,000. Last year\, the event nearly tripled its earnings\, raising $27\,000 to support the College’s educational programming. \nAttendees can look forward to a variety of activities\, including a live auction\, a silent auction\, and a raffle featuring three distinct farm baskets. These baskets are filled with Potomac Highland produce\, meats\, jams\, local honey\, and other farm goods. \nTickets for the event are priced at $75 each\, with an option to purchase a whole table for $500. Sponsorship opportunities are also available\, offering a range of benefits for supporting businesses. The STEM Festival is expected to host up to 1\,000 students\, families\, and community members. Sponsored by Moorefield Robotics\, Eastern WV CTC\, and the WVU Extension office\, the mission of the STEM Festival is to motivate the interest of our youths in Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics (STEM) activities and careers by producing and facilitating\, exciting\, educational and interactive science activities. \nThe festival format allows guests and families to travel (or walk) through the buildings and outdoor spaces of the Eastern WV CTC campus at their own leisure while engaging in interactive experiences offered by facilitators who have traveled from a multi-state region. Facilitators who offer interactive experiences or engaging activities are given table and chair setups at assigned locations on campus. Facilitators should be prepared to meet with hundreds of guests throughout the day as guests visit and engage in activities at a leisurely pace. \nVendor Registration- Booth Types:\nYou may choose to register an “Interactive Booth” that hosts activities like “make and take” items or short interactive experiences. Notable examples from similar events have included 3D printing demonstrations\, monarch migration games\, SUGO robotics demonstration and build activities\, the science of cotton candy (with a free sample treat)\, miniature catapults\, make your own butter\, exploring cells\, launching rockets\, and building miniature parachutes. \nYou may choose to register an “Informational Booth” to pass out information in more of a conference-style expo. \nIf registering multiple booths\, please fill out the form for each one. \nVendor Application Form Here: https://forms.gle/aDDn1CVHrfnTXWDJ9 \nEquipment/Setup:\nRegardless of booth type\, 1 table will be provided along with 3 chairs. SUMMARY:Walk 100 Miles Challenge: Shirt Tye-Dying & First Lap
DESCRIPTION:The second annual Walk 100 Miles Challenge is running from June 2 to August 10\, with the first lap occurring on May 31 at 4 p.m. This 10-week program is designed to help you develop the habit of walking at least one mile a day\, promoting both physical fitness and mental relaxation. \nWhile the primary goal is to walk at least one mile daily\, you are welcome to log as many miles as you wish each day. Additionally\, other forms of equivalent aerobic exercises can be counted (using a scale of 20 minutes = one mile). Once you register\, we will email you more detailed information about the program. \nTo kick off the event\, we will be dyeing t-shirts on May 31st from 12 PM to 5 PM. The first lap if you are able will be at 4 pm.  Sizes are available on a first-come\, first-served basis for the first 75 participants. If you have a shirt from last year and do not require a new one\, please indicate this on the registration form. Refreshments will be provided for those attending during their lunch break. \nWe are excited to offer prizes at the end of the 10-week program. To qualify\, simply submit your weekly miles by the deadline each Sunday of the new walk week. \nRegister to attend the event at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Walk100-24\n\nThis walking program is made possible through the generous funding secured from the 2023-2024 Campus Mental Health Grant provided by the WV Higher Education Policy Commission\, WV Community and Technical College Systems\, and Behavioral Health Programs.
