Gain hands-on learning experiences in state-of-the-art classrooms and lab spaces at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College this fall. With fall courses beginning August 13, Eastern will provide students with personalized attention and custom solutions to workforce training needs unmatched within the region in just two years. New partnerships, like Eastern’s association with Washington DC-based technology firm ISMS Solutions, LLC, effectively enables the college to provide learning opportunities in cybersecurity and auditing to help strengthen the Moorefield economy.
Additionally, a recent transfer agreement between Eastern and Fairmont State University gives students who complete the required Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and Fairmont State requirements guaranteed admission into the university and the ability to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at a fraction of the cost.
With 11 degree programs, including Wind Energy Turbine Technology, which will produce approximately 300 new technician jobs in the next five years, and Early Childhood Development, which provides approved coursework toward the Child Development Associate National Credentialing Program (CDA) and Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS), as well as numerous certificates, Eastern can help you accelerate your career.
In recent years, Eastern has forged articulation agreements with West Virginia University, Potomac State College, Franklin University, Strayer University, American Public University, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, West Virginia State University, Marshall University, Davis & Elkins College and Fairmont State University, depending on major, making it simple for students to continue their education after the completion of an associate’s degree. And, with the America’s Promise 220 grant, qualified students entering into in-demand fields can complete their education tuition-free.
