CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENT-Due to an uptick in COVID-related hospitalizations, if you are experiencing a fever, cough and/or other flu-like symptoms (sore throat, fatigue, runny nose, etc.), please consider getting a COVID test before coming to any Eastern location. Current CDC guidelines state that anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 can go back to normal activities when symptoms have improved for at least 24 hours and no fever even without taking fever-reducing medication like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.

About the New Biz Launchpad
In 2016, action steps were outlined in a Potomac Highlands Entrepreneurship Economic Feasibility Study funded by the Claude Benedum Foundation. The economic strategies and action steps outlined in the study included a focus on Agriculture, Arts and tourism, and manufacturing. Therefore cultivating IREED’s purpose to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide a collective strategy for building institutional and community capital for economic and entrepreneurship development stated, Dr. Megan Webb, Eastern’s Dean of Community Engagement and Partnerships. The IREED New Biz Launchpad will house the Agriculture Innovation Department and provide services from the Potomac Highlands Creative Economy and the Potomac Highlands Food Co-op.
