Transfer Opportunities
Eastern prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to pursue baccalaureate degrees in a variety of disciplines and programs.
About Transfer Opportunities
Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College has a variety of articulation agreements and partnership programs/courses with accredited colleges and universities in West Virginia, and the Electronic Campus of the Southern Regional Electronic Board (SREB). Through these partnerships, Eastern is able to provide a variety of learning and transfer opportunities. Eastern works closely with other colleges to assure maximum transferability of course credits for baccalaureate degrees.
As part of the West Virginia General Studies and Course Equivalency Transfer Agreement, nearly all general education courses transfer anywhere in West Virginia! We provide coordinated support in admissions, advisement, registration, and shared technology through its unique partnerships and programming. Students are able to earn credit for courses offered through distance delivery systems such as online courses, video distance learning courses, and traditional college courses.
WV Higher Education Course Equivalency Inventory dashboard: Course Equivalency Dashboard | Tableau Public
The dashboard allows users to more easily search course equivalency and general studies transfers by each institution. You can search by (a) institution and (b) subject. The top part of the dashboard lists the specific "Course Equivalencies," and the bottom part lists the "Transfer for General Studies" courses. Both sections can be scrolled up/down, right/left to see the full course lists.
Baccalaureate Transfer Program
Students interested in obtaining a Bachelor's degree can begin working on their educational goals at Eastern by completing a transfer program. These programs are designed as university parallel programs with the flexibility to customize the curriculum to meet the requirements of the baccalaureate institution. Students successfully completing the requirements of these programs are awarded the Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.), Associate in Science Degree (A.S.). Course objectives are designed to enable students to transfer credits.
