2023 Youth Ag Innovation Showcase and Challenge

What: Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College invites West Virginia educators and high school students to the ninth annual Potomac Highlands Agriculture Technology and Innovation Student Challenge.
When: Friday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

AG INNOVATION SHOWCASE
The showcase gives students the chance to network with specialists in their field. Students are able to attend educational sessions presented by representatives from various organizations including WVU Extension, Farm Credit Knowledge Center, and other state, local, public and private ag organizations and businesses.
POTOMAC HIGHLANDS AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION STUDENT CHALLENGE
In the challenge, students will develop solutions for issues the field of agriculture is facing using innovation in the form of technology, problem-solving and new application. Student teams will prepare a three minute presentation or demonstration to discuss their concept. The presentation will be followed by a three minute Q&A session. Teams of up to four high school students can register to compete. Only one team is permitted per school. For full competition details, visit easternwv.edu/ag-innovation

This is a free event, and lunch from MeadowBrook Farm BBQ will be provided to students and teachers.
