Virtual Open House: UVA Blandy Experimental Farm REU Program

Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College is hosting a virtual open house in partnership with the University of Virginia’s Blandy Experimental Farm Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program.

The session is led by BET Program Coordinator and science faculty member Nathan Van Vranken and provides an overview of the REU program, which offers paid summer research opportunities in ecology and environmental science. Topics include plant-animal interactions, pollination ecology, landscape ecology and ecosystem ecology.

Students learn about stipends, free housing, research mentorship and how to apply for Summer 2026 participation. Assistance with the application process is available.
