MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College welcomed 977 visitors to campus on Saturday, Nov. 1, for its 11th Annual Trunk-N-Treat event. From 4 to 6 p.m., families from across the region gathered to enjoy a safe, festive evening filled with candy, costumes, and community spirit.

This year’s event featured 17 decorated “trunks” hosted by community organizations, businesses, and individuals, including:
Eastern WVCTC; Rachael Hyre with Workforce Education at Eastern; WVU Medicine; Pilgrim’s; Clarke’s Gaming; Capon Valley Bank; VFW; American Legion; Hardman’s; South Branch Cinema 6; Smokehouse and The Bearded Hen; Community on Aging; Ashley Evans; Sarah Purol; Kevin and Keegan Shull; Madison Stanley; and Terry and Michelle Stanley.

Visitors enjoyed creative displays and Halloween-themed treats, with Eastern’s “Alien Spaceship” trunk making a particularly memorable appearance as staff handed out candy to eager trick-or-treaters.

“Trunk-N-Treat is one of our favorite community traditions,” said Monica Wilson, V.P. of Academics & Student Services. “It’s a fun and safe way to bring families to campus and celebrate the season together.”

Eastern extends its gratitude to all who participated and helped make the event a success.
