Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College Announces Finalists for Presidential Search

Moorefield, WV – The Board of Governors is pleased to announce that we have selected two finalists for the presidency of Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College. We recruited a highly competitive pool of candidates from throughout the state, region, and nation. Your contributions to our many accomplishments was instrumental in attracting highly competitive candidates.
 
The Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College presidential finalists are (in alphabetical order):

Matthew S. McGraw, Ph.D.

Matthew S. McGraw, Ph.D., is Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Services at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, VA. He previously served as Director of Student Services at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, VA. Dr. McGraw earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA; a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University in Beckley, WV; and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Concord University in Athens, WV.
 

Herbert H.J. Riedel, Ph.D.

Herbert H.J. Riedel, Ph.D., is President and CEO at Aleph 1 Enterprises in St. Stephen, SC. He previously served as President of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, AL. Dr. Riedel earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada; a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada; and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa.

Each presidential finalist will participate in two open forums. We invite and encourage everyone to attend the open forums. All forums are open to all faculty, administrators, staff, students, and the general public. There will be a brief introduction of each candidate, followed by a question and answer session. Feedback forms will be given to all who attend and the completed forms will be collected at the end of each forum and given to the Board of Governors for review. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the date that each candidate will visit campus will be announced at a later time.
