Virtual Panel Discussion on Legislative Actions To Be Held June 17

Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College Workforce Education Department will be holding a webinar on June 17 at 6:00 PM that will focus on reviewing and discussing the major legislative bills that were passed by the West Virginia Legislature in the spring 2021 session and their impact on the hospitality, lodging, and travel industries in West Virginia. The event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Richie Heath, Executive Director of the West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association will lead the panel discussion. As Executive Director, Richie served as the lead lobbyist for the organization’s legislative initiatives this past session, which included drafting and lobbying for many of WVHATA’s bills on a daily basis.

Mr. Heath will be joined by other panel members to review and discuss major legislative bills and their impact on the hospitality, lodging, and travel industries in West Virginia. Attendees will be able to ask questions as to how these bills will specifically impact their particular industry or their specific business establishment.

The format for the session will be a 90-minute panel discussion with additional time for comments and questions. The discussion will also be recorded for later on-demand viewing.
