Franklin University Expands its Partnership with Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College to Offer its Pathway Portal and Special $298 Tuition Rate for Eligible Students

Columbus, OH (July 11, 2024) – Franklin University announces that it has expanded its articulation partnership with Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College (EWVCTC). This collaboration marks the fifth institution outside Ohio to join the Pathway Portal, granting eligible EWVCTC students and alumni access to Franklin’s cutting-edge Pathway Portal and a special tuition rate of $298 per credit hour.

As a leading educator of working adults in central Ohio, Franklin University is excited to partner with Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College to introduce its unique Pathway Portal. This increasingly popular tool helps community college students maximize their tuition dollars through a streamlined process and one of the best transfer programs in the nation. Eligible Pathway Portal students benefit from a $100 per credit hour discount, reducing their tuition to a new, lower rate of $298 per credit hour.

As the newest partner, EWVCTC joins a network of community colleges in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kentucky, and North Carolina that have teamed up with Franklin University to provide access to the state-of-the-art Pathway Portal. Through the Pathway Portal, community college students and alumni from partner institutions can clearly understand how their associate degree courses transfer towards one of Franklin’s 28 bachelor’s degrees, assisting them in finding their best academic fit. Additionally, community college students and alumni of EWVCTC and Franklin’s other partner institutions who opt into the Pathway Portal and meet eligibility requirements will benefit from a special tuition rate of $298 per credit hour. This initiative offers an affordable and transparent solution for those seeking to continue their education.

In today’s competitive, global economy, a college degree has become a necessity for success. Franklin is responding to these societal demands by positively impacting its future students by optimizing its 3+1 partnership programs within its Community College Alliance. Demonstrating its distinctive significance, nearly 5,000 students from the existing 31 Pathway Portal partner institutions have already opted into the Pathway Portal since launching the tool in March of 2023. These students are working toward earning their associate degree with Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College and other current Pathway Portal partners Butler County Community College, Clark State Community College, Columbus State Community College, Davidson-Davie Community College, Eastern Gateway Community College, Edison State Community College, Hocking College, John A. Logan College, the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, Lorain County Community College, Marion Technical College, Owens Community College, Rhodes State College, Sinclair Community College, Stark State College, Washington State Community College, and Zane State College.
