Eastern hires Smith as new Student Services Coordinator

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. – Ciara Smith, a resident of Moorefield, WV, and Hardy County native, has joined the staff at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College as the new student services coordinator. Smith holds a bachelor of science in child development and family studies (CDFS) from West Virginia University, which she obtained in May of 2022. She also minored in human services. Hose joins Eastern as the Accounting Assistant I/Cashier

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. – Stacey Hose, a resident of Moorefield, WV, has joined the staff at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College as the new Accounting Assistant I/Cashier in the Business Office.   Hose holds a certificate in applied science for administrative support technology and C.A.S. for business management. She earned both certificates in June of 2022 and is on track to obtain an associate in business management in May of 2023 from Eastern College. New Equipment and Faculty Hire for Eastern College’s Nursing Program

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. – Announced back in May 2022, Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College was awarded $278,500 through Gov. Justice’s Nursing Workforce Expansion program. This award expanded educational capabilities by bringing in new simulation equipment to give nursing students an even broader scope of skills and practice for this field of study. Candice Shockey of Moorefield started working at Eastern in late June as an accounting assistant and cashier for the college.
