Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The College will host a visit on April 22-24, 2018, with a team representing the High Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College has been independently accredited by the Commission since 2008. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Starting this fall, Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College (Eastern) will be offering tuition-free courses for in-demand programs in both Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing.  Healthcare programs include: Emergency Medical Services (EMS)/Paramedic, Pharmacy Technician and Health Information Coder/Technician. Eastern will be introducing several new tuition-free offerings in Advanced Manufacturing.  Industry-recognized credentials, through the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS), will be offered in several areas of Industrial Technology Maintenance.

To honor the graduating class of 2017, Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College (Eastern) has launched the $20.17 Campaign for Excellence.

Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College (EWVCTC) today announced the addition a Biological and Environmental Technician Program. The program will be offered to eligible students starting in the Fall 2017 semester.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Dr. Sarah Tucker, Chancellor of the Community and Technical College System of West Virginia, testified today before the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, at a hearing on “STEM Education: Preparing Students for the Careers of Today and the Future.”

Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College and the Institute of Rural Entrepreneurship and
Economic Development (IREED) are pleased to announce Tina Metzer as the Executive Director of the
New Biz Launchpad. The New Biz Launchpad, a project of Eastern’s Foundation, develops entrepreneurial opportunities for the Potomac Highlands’ six counties including Hardy, Grant, Tucker, Mineral, Hampshire, and Pendleton.

Last year’s Agricultural Innovation Showcase put on by Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College was a hit, drawing more than 300 people.
