Eastern’s Dean of Academic Services Talks At New Energy Caucus about Wind Energy

On February 15, Curtis Hakala, dean of academic services (pictured below), spoke about wind energy at the West Virginia state capitol for the New Energy Caucus. Eastern has the only Wind Energy Technology program in West Virginia; at the beginning of 2022, alumni from this program were hired by Clearway Energy Group right out of graduating. MOOREFIELD, W.Va. – Announced back in May 2022, Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College was awarded $278,500 through Gov. Justice’s Nursing Workforce Expansion program. This award expanded educational capabilities by bringing in new simulation equipment to give nursing students an even broader scope of skills and practice for this field of study.
