“We are deeply grateful to the North River Ruritan Club #2229 for their generous donation in support of Eastern’s Dress for Success Clothing Closet,” said Dixie Heavener, Career Counselor at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College. “This support will help us expand our offerings beyond business and casual professional attire to include fire-resistant clothing for our trades and technical students who are preparing to enter the workforce.”

The Dress for Success Clothing Closet provides Eastern students with access to free professional and work-appropriate clothing for interviews, internships, and employment opportunities. Donations such as this make it possible for Eastern to meet the diverse needs of students pursuing careers in a variety of fields—from business and healthcare to construction, welding, and automotive technology.

Eastern’s Career Services continues to partner with local organizations and businesses to ensure students have the tools and confidence needed to achieve success in their career journeys.
