Eastern’s Partnership with Randolph County Housing Authority Learning Center

Elkins, W.Va. – On Wednesday, April 12, Eastern’s Dr. Megan Webb, Dean of Advancement and Continuing Education, and Robert Burns, Director of Non-Profits, attended Randolph County Housing Authority’s (RCHA) grand opening of their learning center. They partner with Eastern to offer their student participants affordable Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding, Pharmacy Technician, and Electronic Health Records to support Healthcare Workforce Development. Eastern is also excited about RCHA’s expansion in heavy equipment operation simulation training.

“RCHA is thrilled to have Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College as our partner in providing healthcare training classes in Elkins,” said Jennifer Griggs, Program Director of Supportive Services, ‘With the increased need for healthcare workers, now more than ever, it is important to have opportunities for local citizens to take a class in person or online and become employed in our local communities.
