Eastern WVCTC to Host the WVFBLA State Leadership Conference

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College will host the 2026 West Virginia Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference on April 23–24, 2026, at the college’s main campus. Historically, this conference has been held in the southern and central regions of West Virginia, making this the first time it will be held in the Eastern Panhandle.

Dixie Heavener, Eastern WVCTC career counselor, Title III project director, and newly named West Virginia FBLA Collegiate state director, will coordinate the event. “Hosting the 2026 WV FBLA Collegiate State Leadership Conference at Eastern is an exciting opportunity for our campus and community,” said Heavener. “This event brings together ambitious, driven students who are preparing to lead in business, industry, and entrepreneurship. We look forward to showcasing Eastern and creating an unforgettable leadership experience for students across the state.”

The WV FBLA State Leadership Conference brings together college students from across West Virginia to compete in business-related events, participate in leadership workshops, and network with peers and industry professionals. The conference is designed to provide a transformative experience for students, helping them build confidence, strengthen professional skills, and envision successful careers in West Virginia.

The West Virginia FBLA Collegiate State Leadership Conference also highlights student growth through business and leadership competitions, professional development workshops, networking with peers and industry professionals, and recognition of student achievement. Community and business sponsorships make this transformational experience possible, with tiered opportunities to support student programming, conference materials, and awards. Every contribution helps strengthen West Virginia’s future workforce.

Business leaders, entrepreneurs, FBLA alumni, and community members interested in serving as volunteer judges, guest speakers, or conference sponsors are encouraged to get involved.
