Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College has hired Morgan Branson, former Eastern student, as Public Relations Manager.
In this position, Branson is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive public relations program for the college by managing print and online advertisements, facilitating social media campaigns, planning public outreach events and assisting in student recruitment and retention.
A 2015 graduate of Moorefield High School, Branson graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University in May 2019, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Digital Marketing Promotions and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with focuses in Advertising, Strategic Social Media, and Fashion Merchandising. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications with a focus in Digital and Social Media from West Virginia University.
“I credit Eastern for my ability to complete two bachelor’s degrees in four years,” said Branson. “Taking early entrance courses also allowed me to study abroad.”
As a college student, Branson studied abroad twice – a four-week study in Italy, learning Italian language, culture, and fashion, and a five-month semester exchange in England, where she traveled to 18 countries across Europe.
During her undergraduate studies, Branson was a member of many student and professional organizations, and interned with the West Virginia Black Bears, a minor league affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. She looks forward to starting her professional career at Eastern as the Public Relations Manager to use her passion for the industry to benefit the college and community.
Branson resides in Moorefield with her golden retriever, Luna, and enjoys traveling, shopping, graphic design, and photography.
