To what college/university have you transferred and what degree are you working toward?
I transferred to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in January of 2022 to study towards a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
What is something you learned (content knowledge, study skills, technology, etc.) during your academic program at Eastern that you utilize in your current studies?
I have learned so much during my time at Eastern! My current criminal justice major is considered an English-based major, so a lot of my coursework involves research papers and essays. The classes I took at Eastern well prepared me for things such as navigating programs like Word and PowerPoint, and understanding MLA paper formatting.
Please share if courses, faculty, and/or staff at Eastern contributed to your career/educational success and how they helped:
So many of my instructors at Eastern offered helpful feedback and constructive criticism on assignments, and it was a great help in being able to improve my writing.
What advice would you give to current Eastern students who are looking to follow a similar path toward continued studies?
Eastern has so many different resources to help you succeed in college, take advantage of them! Eastern has several partnerships with different colleges that have a lot of helpful benefits. I was able to utilize a partnership between Eastern and Southern New Hampshire University for my current criminal justice studies, and as a result I was able to transfer all of my college credits from Eastern to SNHU, and I qualified for a tuition discount through their partnership with Eastern.

Since January of this year, I have had the honor of being named a member of the All-West Virginia Academic Team at Eastern, and have been named to the honor roll three times since transferring to Southern New Hampshire University. I am extremely blessed for both recognitions!
