Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Workforce Education Program offers a variety of learning opportunities. Trainings include one-day, short-term courses, and online certificate programs. Workforce Education Trainings offers Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Welding, Nursing Assistant (CNA), Phlebotomy Tech, Pharmacy Tech (Online), Medical Billing & Coding (Online), Medical Assistant, and Dental Assistant courses, and recreational, skill-building events, including a bus trip to New York City at Christmas and Quilting Class.
arbour High School, was announced as the winner of the 2019 WV Agriculture Technology and Innovation Student Competition. The annual competition, which marked its third year, is co-hosted by the WV Department of Agriculture, the WV Department of Education, the Robert C. Byrd Institute at Marshall University (RCBI), and Eastern WV Community and Technical College.
2019 Moorefield High School Graduate Ashlynn Dolby is now attending Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Moorefield, West Virginia. Ashlynn is in the Applied Health Care program with plans to apply to the Eastern Nursing Program. Her career goal is to use her nursing skills in an emergency room or pediatric setting.
Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College welcomes artist Kelson Thorne and his exhibit to campus. The exhibit will be on display from Feb. 15 until Feb. 29 in the Eagle’s Nest Gallery. Admission is free.

But when these become persistent, they can deteriorate the positive, high performing culture you are trying to build. Janet will share techniques on how to flip the negativity, embrace adversity, tame irrational thinking patterns and stop the worry. She will describe specific workplace examples to illustrate practices and strategies that work. You can then apply these at the individual, team as well as cultural levels.
The Agriculture Open House at Eastern WV Community and Technical College will be February 27. This will be an opportunity for community members to learn about agricultural opportunities connected to the college and make suggestions for future relevant endeavors. Drop-ins are welcome between 1:30-6:30pm.
Tiara Redman is a sophomore attending Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Moorefield, West Virginia. The Petersburg resident is majoring in Business Management and Computer Applications. Her goal, after graduation, is to open and operate her own bakery.

Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College announces that it is the recipient of a USDA Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP). The program is designed to develop and expand local and regional food business enterprises to increase domestic consumption and access to locally and regionally produced agricultural products and expand market opportunities for farm operations. As part of the program implementation, $285,805 will be used to develop a Potomac Highlands Food Co-Op.
